What is HBM?
HBM has higher bandwidth and smaller package size compared to traditional GDDR (Graphics Double Data Rate) memory. HBM achieves higher bandwidth by stacking multiple memory chips above the processor chip and then connecting the memory chip to the processor chip via a vertical channel (Through-Silicon Vias (TSV)).
